The project in general involved the Refurbishment / Fire upgrade of an existing prefabricated
administration unit, together with the replacement of existing skirting to the base of 100 mobile homes
Works to Admin building consisted of fire proofing, replacement of internal doors and ironmongery, flooring and up-grading of wall and ceiling insulation. Fitting of new windows, all while keeping the building fully operational and safe for all staff, residence and general public.
Works to the 100 mobile homes consisted of works to the base of each unit including the insulation of new metal frames, upgrading of electrical, mechanical and water services under each unit and the fitting of a continuous PVC skirting to seal and make each unit safe keeping all services protected.
Works had to be closely coordinated with staff at the centre as the centre was fully operational during the works with many families with children inhabiting the centre.
