The project consists of the construction of a new DSU for An Post in BALLYHAUNIS, Co, Mayo in an existing commercial unit. The project consists of circa 650sqm of build area on a site of approx. 1800sqm.
The works involved, demolitions & alterations to the existing building, new foundations, new structural works, new roller doors, new glazed screens & doors, internal block walls, fire rating to external walls, roof completions, M&E Installation, service connections, floor/wall/ceiling finishes, signage and security Installation.
Works were completed to a very high standard with the client’s representatives passing comment on the excellent finishing of the works and the very minor amount of snagging required.
The site was located within an existing commercial estate adjacent to a very large meat processing plant and next to a residential area, traffic management of construction related traffic was very complex to ensure no other business operations were hindered and that the local residents were not inconvenienced in any way.
